Just found out about an AWESOME new Kickstarter project.
I think a lot of people have the misconception that because gamers are already outsiders, or nerds, or geeks, etc., that they are all accepting. If you’re a girl gamer, you already know this isn’t true. Just look at the tags, the memes, and the defensive posts, both good and bad.
Homophobia in the gaming community is almost never talked about, and it’s definitely present in just about every fandom, across all genres. And speaking as someone with an eclectic taste in video games, I’ve gotten my fair share of heat.
I would love it if this project reached its goal.

Graphics Card Maker NVIDIA enters the mobile gaming, Welcome Project Shield

Shocker of the Night definitely belongs to Nvidia announcing their new mobile gaming device Project Shield. It is powering the new Tegra 4 processor which will have many capabilities to the device. The screen is a 5 inch, 1280x720 HD retinal multitouch screen with Direct Touch to give it the most accurate touch response ever on a device. The controller does remind us of an Xbox 360 one but looks like this will have more comfort. Battery life sounds amazing with it having 33Wh battery that gives it 5 to 10 hours of play time or 24 hours of HD video playback

Now here comes the the games info. Shield will installed with the latest version of Android (Jelly Bean) so you can play many of the Android games coming from the Google Play Store and Nvidia’s own TegraZone store including access to all Google Apps such as Gmail, Maps, and Google +. The part is being able to stream games from your own PC gaming library that is equipped with a GeForce GTX 650 or higher graphics via 802.11 n 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi on the device. Streaming content (video and Games) from Shield to a TV wirelessly is coming soon says Nvidia. Also supports microSD, HDMI and USB slots

Project Shield has no price but it is expected to come out the 2nd Quarter of this year.
